CreativeNottingham links round-up: 02-03 Oct 2009

Ok, serious face time. We’ve got some business-related links here – a competitiveness information event and a growth investment network, plus (less serious, but no less important) information about the Robin Hood Beer Festival, and info on the soon-to-be-open Nottingham Contemporary.

ERDF Annual Information Event 2009

The East Mids Development Agency is running an event on Friday 30th October in order to drive competitiveness in the region. Supported by the European Regional Development Fund, they provide information, assistance and grants, and their aim is to boost the economic output of the region. And, since we’re such a region for creative enterprises, it should be a highly relevant event.

Growth Investment Network East Midlands

The GINEM is an online resource for all businesses looking to grow through investment and funding. Their mission statement reads:

“We exist to champion growth investment, and guide entrepreneurs to sources of support and funding through our network of specialists”

“We exist to champion growth investment, and guide entrepreneurs to sources of support and funding through our network of specialists”

We’re only here for the beer!

I used to enter a pub quiz with a team going by that name. We never beat them. Anyway, the annual Nottingham Robin Hood Beer Festival is once again upon us. It starts next week, and runs 8th-11th October, inclusive. Worth a visit for the commemorative tankard alone…

Nottingham Contemporary

We’ve been covering Nottingham Contemporary a lot in Creative Nottingham recently, and that’s because, love it or hate it, when it opens it will be an exciting addition to the Notts arts scene. They’ve announced their opening; from the 14th November, it’ll be open six days a week. Follow the link for exact times.
