Calling all young visual arts entrepreneurs!

Yes, we’ve already been banging on this week about applying for the Nottingham Castle Open 2010. But here is something we’ve just heard about – and the application deadline is literally just around the corner!  It sounded like such a great opportunity, we had to let you know about it.

The UK’s Young Visual Arts Entrepreneur 2009 is open to all 25-35 year olds. The six finalists get to tour the arts industry of India, visiting up to three cities and developing their own international business networks! The winner receives £5,000 for a collaborative project with India. Sound good? You’ll need to be 25-35 within the following definitions of visual arts: owners, curators, directors, managers and other professionals working in both the commercial and public galleries; auction houses and other forms of distribution or agency; developers of visual arts publishing (magazines, books etc), communications or websites, all within the visual arts sector.

You will also need to be extremely organised – because the deadline (specially extended) is Wednesday 21 October. Good luck! You’ll find all the details you need here.
