Web 2.0 Surgery Oct 29th – free web help sessions

Web 2.0 Surgery have announced two further dates for surgeries this year:

Thursday 29th October 2009 from 6:30pm at Cape, Victoria St, Nottingham NG1 2EW
Thursday 19th November 2009 (venue TBC)

I’ve been involved in the surgeries since they started earlier this year and they’re a superb idea – it’s all about what we like here at CreativeNottingham, sharing knowledge to empower you to work better.  Whether you’re a voluntary group, charity or small business, Web 2.0 Surgery is an informal event where you can get answers on internet related topics from a group of experts. Everything from web marketing, technical design through to guidance on blogging and using social media – Web 2.0 Surgery is a great place to start to find an expert and the expert advice on the day is always free.

Experts in attendance on 29th October:

  • Jamie Huskisson – Web development – Magneto, WordPress, CSS, XHTML, JavaScript
  • Stu Owens – E-Commerce development, Online Marketing strategy, SEO, PPC & Email marketing
  • Susi O’Neill – Developing multimedia web content (text, audio and video), blogging and online copywriting, cross-platform production and developing online audiences (the observant may have noted that’s me!).

Martin Wright organises the event – get in touch with him if you’re interested in helping out as an expert or turn up on the night if you want help.

There are also some very useful introductory articles to all things interweb on the Web 2.0 site.
