Easy ways to get back into drawing

As you may already know, I’m an artist but i’m also very passionate about helping other people get back into art or try art for the first time. I know a lot of creative professionals who simply haven’t picked up a pencil or brush since art college but spend all day being creative on their computers or in other ways. I also know that a lot of these people wish they had the time or the means to get back into drawing. Luckily there’s a lot of fun & friendly art classes happening in Nottingham that you can jump on board with –

Traditional Life drawing
Wednesdays – 6pm – 9pm at The Art Organisation (Station Street)

Oil Painting classes
Starting Jan 9th and 11th at Nottingham Art Studios (Sherwood)

Drawing, Painting & Pottery Classes in Lady Bay
(very small friendly classes)
Programme yet to be announced for next year but contact Fran Trisram to be kept updated.

Dr Sketchy Nottingham
(of course i have to plug my own class!)
Every other month – life drawing with a difference –  live cabaret/burlesque entertainers who double up as unusual models! Next event Feb 20th.
see website for details

The Drawing Club
(formerly at the Hand & Heart) – Now every Monday 6pm – 8pm at Lee Rosys.
Join their facebook group for more info – every event is free!

Also worth noting is that most of the local art colleges run their own evening classes, their lists of courses will be available at their own reception desks or in most libraries.

If it’s your new years resolution to get back into being arty then I hope the above links help!
