All day Macabre extravaganza

Danse Macabre have established a name for themselves for staging experiences that combine the dark and the artistic. And here’s something new from them – the first ever Danse Macabre Curiosity Fair this Sunday (2 May).  Browse through an array of clothing, jewellery and artwork, then tuck into something from the barbecue. After that, enjoy a few drinks whilst listening to live music from a smorgasbord of live musical talent! It’s happening all day at Central Bar, 310 Huntingdon Street (behind Oceana) and is free until 8pm! 

Sound and Image – a relation

Artists’ group Sixes & Sevens  presents VOICE/UNDER at the White Box Studio on Broad Street on 7 May.  Seven artists raise questions of perception, language and understanding. The show features experimental animation,  a single actor playing dual roles and a performance that  has been described as “A wonderfully witty example of how to conduct pillow talk with a small amphibian”! Evidently something not to be missed…Please email in advance to book if possible:

Have-a-go film heroes invited

Are you a budding filmmaker? Then flex your creative muscles at Stone Soup Film Labs. It’s where people can meet and make short films using anything from HDV cameras to professional equipment – completely free! Meetings are every Wednesday at 7.30pm.
