Yes, I admit it, the title of today’s round up features one of the worst puns ever to feature on this website. But I am unashamed and unapologetic for, it appears, this week Nottingham’s creative communities will be gathered at events across the city featuring hot beverages of all kinds.

First up, today, 1st March, those folk at Creative Greenhouse are holding their first ever Creative Coffee Morning in West Bridgford’s The Monkey Tree cafe on Bridgford Road.

On Sunday, if you time it right you can get to attend not one but two creative tea parties! Nottingham Girl Geeks, inspired by the great time we all had last Monday for dinner, are holding a tea party on 6 March. There will be tea, there will be cake (you are asked to help supply the cake – go on, get baking!) and there will be a workshop with Twitter’s own @Ruby_gem who will be talking about Writing User Stories. Please note this is about agile software, NOT about writing literary stories. The Girl Geek’s Blog have further details.

Over in the Lace Market, Debbie Bryan’s studio shop is the venue for another Sunday Tea Party. From 2pm on 6th March there will be tea, cakes and a talk from Joy Buttress, Doctoral Research Student in Fashion, Textiles & Knitwear who will be speaking about her research on historical lace as a resource in contemporary art practice.

Nearly as many events as there are types of tea! (Alright, I may not have thought that bit through). However, if you are holding a tea party this week please let us know. Alternatively just tell us what your favourite sort of tea is when you’re feeling creative! Myself, I like a bit of citrus redbush…
