CreativeNottingham has developed and grown through the work of a diverse team of people. Involved in sectors as varied as recruitment, IT, illustration and communications, they all support the blog on a voluntary basis.

Camilla Zajac

For seven years I’ve been busy running Green Light Copywriting. When I’m not creating content for websites, brochures and other communications, I try to find the time to visit as many interesting arts-based events as I can.  In the fifteen or so years I’ve lived in Nottingham, I’ve experienced some very memorable arts/creative-related moments! In the past, I’ve written arts reviews for Interface, the BBC Radio Nottingham website and others. For some time I’d had a recurring thought about doing some sort of arts/writing/community thing to highlight all the different things going on in Nottingham. One day, while at a networking event about something else entirely, Susi mentioned her own idea – and here we are.

When I’m not blogging about interesting stuff going on in Nottingham, I do my own blog on copywriting and keep up to date via Twitter.

Phil Williams

I’ve been in Nottingham for about six years now. Coming from a philosophical background, during that time I’ve been a designer, a radio producer and DJ, a gigging musician, as well as an IT analyst and business manager. Currently I’m an IT admin for the Confetti Media Group, and look after various companies including the Confetti Institute of Creative Technology and Antenna, the business centre for creatives. When the call went out to find a team of people to put the spotlight on Nottingham’s diverse creative scenes, I jumped at the chance – even in my short time here I’ve seen some really great developments, and I’m passionate about seeing these scenes flourish. I’m mad about games, because to me, they represent the natural synthesis of disparate disciplines; gaming is also amongst the UK’s most successful industries and here in Nottingham that’s especially true.

Charlotte Thomson

I have lived in Nottinghamshire for 24 years, currently in the West Bridgford area (with a view of the Trent,  Market Square and Castle from one window, if there’s no leaves on the trees), having grown up in Cotgrave. I’m very proud to co-organise Nottingham based events/organisations such as  Dr Sketchy’s Anti Art School Nottingham , Danse Macabre Arts and designer maker event Delicate Treats. I was thrilled when Susi and Camilla approached me to be a part of this blog. I see us as an example of the diverse nature of the Nottingham creative community, where often our activities become isolated and don’t cross over, I hope that this blog will help to unify us all!

Susi O’Neill

I’m the Director of Digital Consultant, a consultancy for innovation, skills and research for businesses in the digital economy.  I specialise in social media and multimedia content, working with businesses, cultural organisations and regional public bodies.  I’ve previously worked in the music industry, TV, radio and on projects with film, computer games and digital companies.  I trained as a musician and I’ve always been in various bands (touring, albums, radio and all that rock n roll stuff) and have become reputed as a player of unusual electronic instrument, the theremin.   I currently live in Sneinton (just north of the sails of Green’s Mill), moving back to Nottingham from London in 2006 having grown up in Burton Joyce. I’m interested in all things business-related and digital/web/social media, and I like some of the freakier music/art things that are cropping up in Nottingham.

I’ve done various minor things with the internet since mid-90s and am currently interested in social media.  I recently found myself enthusing to a random stranger, at an event in Nottingham, about this wonderful site which was full of information about cultural events in Nottingham, and which had a very useful blog to follow via RSS.  This stranger turned out to be Susi, so it was hard to turn down the opportunity to help out…..
