City Arts Chimes Performance with The Ghost Bus in the background
Yesterday the Carnival of Monsters Festival of Art opened in Beeston in the amazing spaces at Bartons
I joined the crowd in the vast open TH Barton Hall to catch the performance of City Arts Giant Chimes with a back drop of The ‘Ghost Bus’ a wonder from the 1950s which unlike many pampered classic vehicles spent the last 20 years undiscovered in a field!
Elsewhere on site I encountered works by over 40 artists from the huge willow spheres of Rachel Carter flowing down the length of the ‘docking shop’ to the more intimate installations in the smaller rooms of ‘villas 1 and 2′. Here are just a few views, go see for yourself!
